I FINALLY Finished Another Project

I finally finished another project and I made it basically all by myself (with a little guidance from my mom)!!! I have two ring bearers so I made a pillow for each of them. They are about 8x8 inches and I used leftover fabric from the ties, ribbon, and hair clip flowers. Pretty simple and I think they look so cute! =D

Overlays...

So the adult ties are finished and we have started another BIG project!!! We are borrowing some table cloths but they are cream instead of white and I really don't want the tops of my tables to be white (or cream) so we are making overlays! Here is the start of our project...

That is the fabric we are using...

That is our huge pattern made of 6 poster boards to cut around the edges before sewing them under...

In LOVE with Wordel

It's SO cute!!!!!

Wordle: Wedding <3

Zebra Ties

So over Christmas Break my goal was to work on as much wedding stuff as possible so I won't have to stress about it during my student teaching.  Well I haven't accomplished as much as I would have liked to but we have a BIG project going on right now...  ZEBRA TIES!!!!  I am super excited about these because 1. They are zebra and 2. They are handmade by me and mom which makes them 3. Totally original!  We didn't even use a real pattern or anything.  Instead we cut up an old tie that has been hanging on my doorknob for years and went with the flow to create a zebra tie with a hint of pink on the back.  =D

I cut out felt for the inside of the ties

Yeah it was so much fun

Ever wondered what a tie would look like if you ripped out the stitching and ironed it completely flat?  Well now you know.

Trying to figure out the best direction to cut the ties

That is one beautiful completed tie!

The backside with a touch of pink.

My dad modeling the tie =D

I am very delighted with the way they are turning out!  But there are still many more to make!  We are making 10 adult ties and 2 bow ties for the ring bearers.  =D

It's a Crazy Beautiful Life

So I said like two months ago that I was going to be better about posting and I totally haven't been.  But school is starting up and I am really going to try to document more things I am working on and projects!  I want to spend this school year practicing because hopefully I will have an actual teaching job in the fall and then will be posting pictures of my classroom and things we do in class!

So here is my latest creation.  I found my inspiration on Pinterest and turned it into my own.  I'm super excited to give it to one of my best friends tomorrow at her bridal shower!

I'm planning on setting up on a cake stand I got her and giving her some cake mixes and food coloring.  (Baking cakes is one of our favorite things to do together)

Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars...

Wow I really need to do a better job of posting!  I feel bad because I spend SO much time browsing through other blogs but never really contribute anything to my own!  So here is the big project I have been working on...

AIRPLANE DIAPER CAKE =)
This is how it started out but I felt like needed a little more in the back and I  was still planning on adding a few other things besides diapers...

So the final product turned into this!

Its kind of hard to see but the propellers are bottle brushes and there are bottles underneath for the wheels and a pacifier in the front =D
Over all I am pretty please with the way it turned out...  I just looked around online found a picture that looked somewhat easy to create and ran with it!  I am helping throw an airplane themed baby shower tomorrow.  I really hope the mother-to-be likes it!
