Myself as an Effective Teacher...

So I am really excited about how I got to take something I saw out in blog land and make it my own for a school project!  I've seen several people making felt chocolates for Valentine's Day and knew they would be a great idea for an assignment in my effective teaching class!  The assignment was to design a CREATIVE visual that represents me as an effective teacher (no posters).  So here is what I came up with...

Valentine's Wreath

So I had this vision for a heart wreath and what I actually ended up with wasn't what my vision was at all but I like it anyway...

I bought a heart shaped foam wreath at Hobby Lobby and some pink and zebra felt (I LOVE zebra and was oober excited to find it in felt).  Then I went to town putting the felt flowers on it but it was taking forever and I soon realized I was not going to have enough felt to cover the entire wreath with flowers so I just covered the rest of the wreath with zebra felt and I think it turned out pretty cute!  =D

Some Valentine's Day Crafts I Made...

So I'm still exploring craft blogging land and have a feeling once I learn more I will really be addicted.  =D  And after looking at tons of blogs I felt like I needed to post something that I did.  Now that I have my blog maybe I will start doing some tutorials but for today here are some pictures of some of my Valentine's Day crafts...

So I have always loved doing crafts and artsy things hence the nickname Krafty Kathy and have recently become a fan of craft blogging.  Now I still don't understand a lot of the lingo or much about blogging but to be able to easily keep up with my favorite blogs I'm creating my own.  Hopefully soon I will be able to put some of my own crafts on here.  Any tips would be appreciated!  =D
